Beach Barn Zandvoort – Every Bite’s a Hit at This New Coastal Gem

Sometimes a tip turns out to be pure gold — and that’s exactly how I discovered Beach Barn in Zandvoort. This brand-new beach spot nails it on all fronts: atmosphere, menu, and service.
We kicked things off with an extensive tasting of small bites. The oysters, olives, toast with bone marrow, and gambas with aioli were all perfectly seasoned and portioned just right. It’s clear from the first bite — these people know what they’re doing.
Drinks-wise, you’re in good hands too. The wine list is broad and well-curated, and even the alcohol-free options are surprisingly tasty — though I wouldn’t quite call them wine, to be honest.
Then came the starters. The pulpo and steak tartare were solid, but the vongole stole the show — bold, spicy, and so good you’ll want to come back just for that dish.
For our main course, we shared a whole sea bream, served with a spinach sauce that seriously elevated the flavour experience. What a fantastic combo.
We wrapped up with the honeycomb in lavender cream — and that cream… absolutely finger-licking good.
And all this just two weeks after opening, on a day that probably had a smaller staff due to King’s Day. Hats off — everything ran smoothly and with a relaxed vibe.
In short: Zandvoort just got a whole lot better. Beach Barn, we’ll be back very soon!
