Culinaire Verwennerij bij Olivers aan het Spaarne

Last night, I returned to Olivers at the Spaarne in Haarlem — and as always, it was an absolute pleasure. This restaurant continues to impress with its flavourful dishes and generous portions.
Our five-course menu began with a refreshing starter of salmon, paired with a yoghurt sauce and mustard seeds. Next up was sous-vide cooked pointed cabbage with a beurre noisette — an outstanding vegetarian dish! The third course featured tender sweetbreads in a delicious curry sauce, the kind of dish you can’t help but savour to the very last drop.
For the main course, we enjoyed duck breast served with a rich rendang and beautifully prepared vegetables in a superb sauce. The evening ended with a choice between a well-curated cheese board and a refreshing avocado-yoghurt dessert.
Olivers offers excellent value for money and a regularly changing menu that ensures every visit feels like a new culinary adventure. I’m already looking forward to my next one!
